Job summary

Keolis Commuter Services seeks a maintenance technician to conduct inspections and preventive maintenance on repair garage equipment including bus lifts, washers, paint booth, and fuel systems. You will also service small tools and ensure safety equipment remains fully functional.

Requirements include 5 years of industrial equipment maintenance, strong communication skills, OSHA knowledge, a HS diploma or GED, and willingness to work evenings or weekends. A pre-employment drug test is required.

  • 5 years’ experience in industrial/commercial equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Sound understanding and knowledge of OSHA regulations.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to work evenings or weekends (on call) in case of an emergency.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

  • Perform facility inspections and preventive maintenance on repair garage equipment (bus lifts, bus washers, paint booth, high pressure washer/steam rack, fuel dispensing equipment).
  • PM on small equipment (drill press, hydraulic press, in-shop vacuum systems).
  • Ensure shop safety equipment is maintained and functioning properly.
  • Make repairs to wear items (hoses, steamer wands, fueling nozzles).

Job description

  • Perform PM on small equipment such as drill press, hydraulic press, in-shop vacuum systems.

  • Make repairs to normal wear items such as hoses, steamer wands and fueling nozzles

  • Operators/Drivers may work inside or outside vehicles and may operate vehicles for over 8 hours per day.
  • Operations Supervisors and Managers may split their work between an office setting looking at a computer screen/electronic device and active transit field locations driving in a vehicle.
  • Maintenance Employees may be exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals in a ventilated maintenance shop and may work with personal computers, laptops, electronic hand-held devices, complex electrical schematics, diagnostic software and testing devices, and other heavy machinery.
  • Office Staff may work indoors in air-conditioned or well-ventilated facilities, including offices and cubicle spaces equipped with a telephone and computer and may entail typing or looking at a computer screen.
