Job summary

Phoebe Sumter Medical Center, Inc. is seeking a General Facility Technician for Sumter Campus.

Under general supervision, you will perform basic tasks on electrical, fire safety, HVAC, mechanical and plumbing systems, and maintain architectural systems including doors, ceilings and walls. You will troubleshoot minor issues with pneumatic tubes, patient beds, nurse call systems and televisions, contribute to shop cleanup, and uphold departmental compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Vocational/Technical in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Maintenance preferred.
• Entry Level Electrical repair, HVAC, and/or Mechanical maintenance experience required; 1 year Healthcare or hospital facility maintenance setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic tasks on electrical, fire safety, HVAC, mechanical and plumbing systems.
• Maintain architectural systems including doors, ceilings and walls.
• Troubleshoot minor issues in pneumatic tube, patient beds, nurse call systems and televisions.
• Support shop cleanup and general maintenance; ensure compliance with governmental standards.
