Job summary

YMCA Of Collier County in Marco Island is seeking a Facility Support Technician to join the Maintenance team. The role performs repairs and maintenance on equipment and facilities, monitors grounds for cleanliness and safety, and supports daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor fitness floor, locker rooms, and common areas for cleanliness and safety.
• Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on fitness equipment.
• Conduct daily facility inspections and address maintenance needs promptly.
• Respond to staff requests for assistance with equipment, supplies, and facility needs.
• Assist with moving equipment, room setups, and breakdowns for programs and events.
• Address minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repair issues.
• Maintain building exterior and grounds, including walkways and outdoor spaces.
• Support emergency response procedures and small plant-related emergencies.
• Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and risk management standards.
• Coordinate with vendors for specialized repairs as needed.
• Maintain adequate inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies.
• Report directly to the Branch Executive on all facilities-related matters.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Facility Support Technician position supports the work of the YMCA of Collier County, Inc., a leading not-for-profit organization committed to strengthening the communities in Collier County through its core focus areas of Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility. This position plays a major role in the Maintenance Department team in performing repairs and maintenance to equipment and facilities. Monitor facilities, grounds and equipment for cleanliness and safety issues.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

• Completion of YMCA of the USA Child Abuse and Appropriate Touch classes
• Completion of the YMCA’s Blood Borne Pathogens training
• Completion of the YMCA’s Social Media & Digital Communications class
• Completion of the YMCA’s Safe Lifting training
• Additional training classes as required for this position to meet YMCA quality standards.
