Job summary

The Missouri Botanical Garden is seeking a Facility Support Attendant for 1st shift to be the welcoming face of the Garden. Under supervision, you will perform housekeeping and assist with event setup, while ensuring proper waste separation and safety.

The role includes greeting visitors, vendors, and donors and providing top-notch service. You will receive paid training and be expected to maintain a professional demeanor in a public setting, with opportunities for Garden membership and

Qualifications

• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Be willing to learn new procedures.
• Present a professional attitude at all times under public scrutiny.
• Meet productivity standards.
• Ability to read instructions and understand cleaning product labels.
• Ability to multitask in a sometimes fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift 30–60 pounds.
• Ability and willingness to work in varying temperatures and all-weather conditions.
• Ability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform general daily housekeeping duties.
• Event Set-up duties require setting up tables, chairs.
• Remain alert, courteous, and helpful to visitors and employees at all times.
• Ensure that all recycled compost and landfill materials are placed in the correct containers.
• Reports all accidents, injuries, and near-miss accidents immediately to your supervisor.
• Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, washing surfaces, emptying trash, and other duties as assigned.

Additional Details:

This position starts at $16.00 per hour.
