Job summary

The Missouri Botanical Garden seeks a dependable team member to be the face of the Garden during shifts, interacting with Garden employees, visitors, vendors, and donors while under general supervision.

You will perform general daily housekeeping, assist with event setups, ensure correct recycling, and report accidents promptly, contributing to a safe, welcoming environment for all guests. This role involves lifting and working varied hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform general daily housekeeping duties.
• Assist with event set-up (tables, chairs).

• Promptly report accidents or injuries to supervisor.
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, dust, wash surfaces, and take out trash.

Why You’ll Love This Position

You will get to be the face of The Missouri Botanical Garden during your shift. You may interact with Garden employees, visitors, vendors, and donors. Under general supervision, performs and maintains the internal and external appearance of the Garden. Paid training will be provided to ensure you are ready and prepared to welcome visitors to The Missouri Botanical Garden.

What You’ll Do (Highlights)

• Perform general daily housekeeping duties
• Event Set-up duties require setting up tables, chairs
• Remain alert, courteous, and helpful to visitors and employees at all times
• Ensure that all recycled compost and landfill materials are placed in the correct containers
• Reports all accidents, injuries, and near-miss accidents immediately to your supervisor
• Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, washing surfaces, emptying trash, and other duties as assigned

• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Additional Details

This position starts at $16.00 per hour.

The Garden is committed to the safety and well-being of our employees, volunteers, and guests.
