Description

The Facility Services Technician is responsible for ensuring the building, grounds, equipment and structures are in good working conditions. This position is also responsible for making repairs and performing preventative maintenance.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Repair building equipment as needed due to failure and/or inconsistent operation.
  • Responsible for the preventive maintenance of specialized equipment such as but not limited to HVAC, Plumbing and Boilers.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on the facility and grounds as needed.
  • Know and understand emergency procedures in the event of equipment failure.
  • Responsible for maintaining the safety of the facility and all grounds.
  • Communicate effectively (verbal and written) with all contacts.
  • Accept and adapt easily to change.
  • Ensure that all activities are consistent with Company Mission Statement.
  • Operate job‑related equipment with or without an accommodation.
  • Meet physical demands of job with or without an accommodation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience
  • Technical or vocational degree in related field is strongly preferred and/or a combination of education and relevant experience.
