Job summary

ABM industries is seeking a Janitorial Account Manager to oversee day-to-day facilities operations, ensure service excellence, and strengthen client relationships. You will lead staff, monitor budgets, and promote safety and continuous improvement across janitorial and related services.

The role emphasizes strong communication, project coordination, and the ability to respond to client needs, including after-hours support. A collaborative, safety-driven culture is core to ABM’s operations.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of facility/operations or project management with supervisory experience.
• Strong customer service, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Solid business acumen including budget oversight and cost control.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other job-related technologies.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and respond to urgent client needs, including occasional evening/weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support frontline employees and supervisors; foster engagement, accountability, and teamwork.
• Coach and mentor staff to drive performance, growth, and compliance with ABM policies.
• Act as primary contact for clients; build relationships with property management teams and stakeholders.
• Ensure services meet contract terms and address client feedback promptly.
• Promote additional services and identify growth opportunities to increase billable work.
• Oversee daily operations of facility services, including janitorial, parking, and maintenance as applicable.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality programs.
• Conduct time studies, site inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.
