General Description:

Responsible for managing and directing the security measures necessary to ensure the appropriate security posture, continued success and maintenance of Diamond’s facility security program in accordance with Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) requirements; and for developing, implementing, and maintaining Diamond’s cybersecurity program, ensuring the protection of sensitive data and systems from threats. Additional responsibilities include overseeing the use of technology within the organization, designing, managing, and monitoring information systems, while also coordinating the installation and maintenance of the organization’s hardware and software.

Requirements:

Essential Functions - include the following (other duties may be assigned):

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable security regulations and standards.
  • Maintain accountability of classified government-furnished information.
  • Maintain and coordinate excellent working relationships with government agencies.
  • Provide routine security training and awareness programs to educate personnel on security protocols and procedures.
  • Conduct security clearance indoctrination briefings and debriefings.
  • Maintain accurate, organized and up-to-date security documentation, including security plans, policies, procedures, and training records.
  • Manage and maintain security clearances for personnel with access to classified information.
  • Routine use of personnel clearance data systems in the performance of assigned duties.
  • Perform a wide variety of administrative duties in support of security requirements.
  • Participate in the organization’s Insider Threat team.
  • Conduct periodic security risk assessments and develop mitigation plans.
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of security technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and anti-malware software.
  • Collaborate with other IT departments and business units to ensure security alignment.
  • Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with the organization's goals, ensuring that IT resources support business needs.
  • Perform and manage hardware and software installations, maintenance, and upgrades.
  • Coordinate activities of information systems consultants with the business.

Education/Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience with industrial security, NISPOM, COMSEC programs, clearance processing, document control, and/or physical security; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience as a Facility Security Officer.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Current active Secret security clearance or has the ability to obtain.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge and experience utilizing the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) and Industrial Security System (NISS).
  • Experience in the Industrial Security field; including physical security, operations security, insider threats, incident management, classified document control, and/or onsite classified meeting support.
  • Broad knowledge of the techniques and procedures of hardware, software, and network support for multiple users.
  • Understand installation, configuration, and troubleshooting processes for software, hardware, networking, and accessory equipment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications.
  • Keen business sense with strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, both in writing and verbally, with all levels of employees, customers, and suppliers.
  • Knowledge of risk management policies, cybersecurity principles, network systems management principles, and security architecture concepts.

Physical Demands:

  • Depending on the assignment, may require the ability to stand, walk and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10 - 50 pounds.
  • Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment, and read technical information.
  • Sitting at computer/desk up to 75% of the workday.
