Job summary

AEVEX is seeking a Facility Security Officer II to design, implement, and maintain a robust security program in our Dayton, OH facility. The role emphasizes risk-based governance, regulatory compliance, and close collaboration with executives and government partners.

The successful candidate will manage access control, COMSEC, PII handling, and investigations while leading training and policy development to protect people and assets in a fast-paced defense environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in the industrial security field.
• Experience in managing lab spaces.
• COMSEC management experience.
• Experience with government information systems and personnel security investigations.
• Proficient with NISPOM and security policy implementation.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage a security program using risk-based approaches.
• Provide briefings and trainings; develop written guidance.
• Protect PII and sensitive information with proper reporting.
• Oversee access control, intrusion detection, and CCTV systems.
• Manage vendor/contractor access to the facility.
• Develop, communicate, and revise security policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and government representatives.
• Interact with senior management and business groups regarding security issues.
• Maintain auditable official records; ensure compliance with regulations.
• Conduct investigations and issue disciplinary guidance as needed.
