Job summary

JASINT Consulting and Technologies, LLC is hiring a Facility Security Officer (FSO/CSSO) to lead the company’s classified security program. You will ensure compliance with NISPOM, DCSA, and DoD requirements while coordinating with government customers and program teams.

The role requires a current TS/SCI with Poly, U.S. citizenship, and at least five years in industrial security. The position is hybrid in Columbia, MD and involves extensive liaison duties and security training delivery.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in industrial security with cleared government contractors.

• Deep knowledge of NISPOM and DCSA requirements.
• Hands-on experience with DISS, NBIS, SWFT, and related systems.
• Experience managing personnel clearances and DD254s.

• Experience preparing for DCSA assessments and self-inspections.
• Knowledge of physical security, access control, CCTV, and DoD closed areas.
• Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple security requirements and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support company-wide classified security program per NISPOM, DCSA, DoD, and customer requirements.
• Oversee NISP implementation: personnel security, document/visitor control, and FCL.
• Prepare, review, and administer DD Form 254s for prime and subcontractors.
• Handle personnel security clearance processing: prescreening, investigations, transfers, reinvestigations, indoctrinations.
• Maintain and manage security activities in DISS, NISS, NBIS, SWFT, and related systems.
• Serve as primary security liaison with DCSA, government customers, primes, and leadership.
• Develop and administer security policies, SETA programs, and training.
• Manage Insider Threat Program reporting, tracking, and training.
• Investigate security incidents and report adverse information or events.
• Conduct NISPOM self-inspections and participate in DCSA security assessments.
• Manage physical security: access control, intrusion detection, CCTV, badges, and DoD areas.
• Collaborate with Recruiting, PM, and Business Development on clearance needs and staffing impact.
• Coordinate with Information Security Manager and Quality Control Manager.

Clearance Requirements:

This position requires a current and active Top Secret/SCI with Poly at the time of application. U.S. Citizenship is required.

What you will be doing:

• Manage and support JASINT’s company-wide classified security program in accordance with NISPOM, DCSA, DoD, and customer requirements.
• Manage all aspects of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP), including personnel security, document and visitor control, classified information, and Facility Clearance (FCL) requirements.
• Prepare, review, maintain, and administer prime and subcontract DD Form 254s.
• Manage personnel security clearance processing, including prescreening, initial investigations, transfers, fingerprints, reinvestigations, indoctrinations, debriefings, foreign travel, and adverse information reporting.
• Maintain and manage security activities within DISS, NISS, NBIS, SWFT, and other applicable government systems.
• Serve as a primary security liaison with DCSA, government customers, prime contractors, employees, and program leadership.
• Develop, maintain, and administer security policies, procedures, and Security Education, Training and Awareness (SETA) programs.
• Manage and support JASINT’s Insider Threat Program, including required reporting, tracking, policies, and training.
• Investigate and report security incidents, violations, adverse information, and other reportable events.
• Conduct required NISPOM self-inspections and prepare for and participate in DCSA facility security assessments.
• Manage physical security requirements, including access control, intrusion detection, CCTV, badges, visitor access, and DoD closed areas.
• Partner with Recruiting, Program Management, and Business Development to identify clearance requirements, security risks, and potential impacts to staffing and contract performance.
• Partner with the Information Security Manager and Quality Control Manager

Position Requirements

Experience:

• Minimum five (5) years of relevant industrial security experience, including experience supporting cleared government contractors and working with DCSA.
• Active Top Secret Security Clearance and U.S. Citizenship.
• In-depth knowledge of NISPOM (32 CFR Part 117) and DCSA requirements.
• Hands‑on experience with DISS, NISS, NBIS, SWFT, and other security‑related government systems.
• Experience managing personnel clearances, DD254s, Facility Clearance requirements, and classified information.
• Experience supporting or facilitating an Insider Threat Program.
• Experience preparing for DCSA assessments and conducting security self‑inspections.
• Working knowledge of classified information systems, physical security, access control, intrusion detection systems, CCTV, and DoD closed areas.
• Experience developing and delivering required security education and training.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, judgment, and discretion.
• Ability to independently manage multiple security requirements and competing priorities.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Intelligence Studies, Cybersecurity, or a related field preferred.
• Completion of applicable DCSA/CDSE FSO training preferred.

Physical Demands

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. The ability to move files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary would be required.
