Description
Providing support to the Program Manager by performing as the Facility Security Officer (FSO) directing and implementing efforts to comply with the National Industrial Security Program and other customer program access requirements
- Maintaining current knowledge of applicable regulations, developing operating policies and procedures to insure compliance, and conducting internal inspections
- Maintaining and/or processing confidential personnel, contract, or department data
- Following administrative, confidential, and sensitive data guidelines in maintaining the security of company proprietary and classified information
- Processing visitor requests and escort visitors
- Maintaining/creating program records and prepare special and recurring reports
- Preparing for and hosting inspections and/or audits by Government security officials if required

Requirements
- Experience in administration and management of a DoD security program, as either a military or civilian employee of a U.S. defense agency or as a defense contractor employee
- Thorough working knowledge of 32 CFR 117, National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM)
- Experience in the following activities:
- Processing personnel security clearance
- Classified visit procedures
- Classified document control
- Providing security briefings and training
- Administration of SCI programs
- Reviewing, investigating and reporting non-compliance issues
- PC skills are necessary including fluency in MS Office applications
- Possess a high level of confidentiality and discretion in communications and strong professional and ethical standards
- Requires effective communication and vocational skills to include writing skills for various documents, reports, and procedures
- Top Secret Clearance
