Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Facility Security Officer (FSO) to manage our industrial security program in compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM). The FSO will oversee safeguarding classified information and ensuring compliance with government security standards, supporting personnel and facility clearances.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for all security matters, including personnel, physical, and information security.
• Manage compliance with DoD regulations (e.g., NISPOM, ICD 705, 32 CFR Part 117).
• Administer and track personnel security clearances via DISS and eQIP.
• Prepare and maintain security documentation, including SOPs and training materials.
• Coordinate with government agencies such as DSS/DAAPM to ensure compliance and resolve issues.
• Conduct security briefings, debriefings, and training, including insider threat awareness and classified information handling.
• Manage visitor access, secure meeting support, and secure work areas.
• Oversee self-inspections and prepare for DSS audits and vulnerability assessments.
• Support COMSEC and OPSEC activities as needed.
• Maintain classified storage containers, security systems, and access controls.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in criminal justice or related field.
• 3-5 years of FSO or industrial security management experience in a cleared defense contracting environment.

Required Skills

• Proficiency with NISPOM, 32 CFR Part 117, and DCSA guidelines.
• Experience with DISS, NISS, eQIP, SWFT, and STEPP systems.
• Proven success managing personnel security clearance processes, including SF-86, Visit Requests, and reinvestigations.
• Knowledge of classified information marking, storage, transmission, and destruction procedures.
• Experience preparing for and responding to security vulnerability assessments.
• Ability to develop and deliver security training and briefings.
• Understanding of Insider Threat Program requirements and reporting protocols.
• Familiarity with classified contracts, DD254 forms, and subcontractor security coordination.

Desired Skills

• Experience leading security audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
• Current FSO certification (via CDSE or similar).
