As a Facility Security Officer, you will collaborate with leadership and internal/external customers to support various programs. This role provides onsite support for the site's security program.
In this Facility Security Officer position, you will:
- Interpret and enforce government and company policies, providing guidance to employees
- Interface with program managers and maintain relationships with DCSA and US Government Security customers
- Develop and revise security plans using 32 CFR Part 117 NISPOM and other program-specific instructions
- Support subcontractor security efforts, including DD254s and security guidance
- Provide security guidance and education to personnel and advise senior management
- Oversee personnel responsible for Special Programs and COMSEC
- Attract, hire, and retain top talent
- Manage personnel workloads and development plans
- Conduct investigations of non-compliance and prepare related reports
- Improve inspection, audit, and analysis methods for security performance and cost-effectiveness
- Lead government security reviews and internal security audits
- Conduct self-inspections and oversee corrective actions
- Deliver program-specific briefings
- Lead the site Insider Threat council
- Ensure compliance with closed area requirements and certify physical construction paperwork
- Establish and maintain physical security systems and contingency plans in collaboration with security managers
- Serve as incident commander for security emergencies
- Support other security disciplines such as Personnel Security, Physical Security, IA, COMSEC, and Visitor Control
- Perform additional duties as required
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Top Secret clearance
- High School Diploma with 7+ years of related experience; Bachelor's preferred
- Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in compliance with policies and laws
- Strong motivation, initiative, and adaptability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of 32 CFR Part 117 NISPOM
- Ability to make complex decisions independently
- Effective time management and problem-solving skills
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Experience as an FSO or DoD Security Manager
- Facility Security Officer Program Management certification (via CDSE)
- Final Top Secret Clearance
- Experience with DISS, NISS, and SIMS systems
