Job summary

Allen Distribution is seeking a Sanitation specialist to ensure a clean and safe facility for our operations team. The role reports to the Operations Manager and is full time on the 1st shift, 7am to 3:30pm, Mon-Fri in Mechanicsburg, PA.

The position involves routine cleaning, waste removal, fridge and floor cleaning, and adherence to safety procedures; forklift licensing is required or pursued, and overtime may be available to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs., sit, stand and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a forklift license.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Work in a non-climate controlled environment.

Responsibilities

• Vacuum and clean bug lights as needed using hot soapy water; replace bulbs.
• Empty trash daily in all areas of the building.
• Inspect refrigerators for spills and clean with hot soapy water.
• Remove spider webs around forklift areas, racking and perimeters.
• Vacuum carpet areas; sweep and pick up debris from warehouse floor.
• Vacuum cracks in dock plates; clean door perimeters.
• Maintain clean windows and mirrors; clean lunchroom area.
• Follow dock safety practices and report equipment issues.
