Job summary

ADUSA Distribution in York, PA is seeking a Sanitation Associate to maintain sanitation standards and provide a clean, safe work environment for all associates at the distribution center. Duties include debris removal, floor care, equipment maintenance, and adherence to safety and productivity standards.

Ideal candidates will have a High School education, the ability to lift up to 60 lbs, and stand for long periods in a warehouse setting with varying conditions.

Qualifications

• Able to reach, stoop, bend and lift up to 60 lbs.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• Able to work in a warehouse environment with varying conditions (i.e., cool temperatures, concrete floors, powered industrial trucks).
• Able to work needed schedule to perform assigned duties.

Responsibilities

• Pick up debris, empty trash cans, remove spills in a prompt manner, dust racks, doors, lights, etc.
• Sweep and mop slots.
• Clean sanitation equipment, including sanitation boxes and mops.
• Sweep and scrub floors, as well as outside areas to help ensure the safety, proper sanitation and efficiency of the distribution center.
• Maintain equipment daily, topping off fluids, cleaning out brushes and washing equipment.
• Follow good sanitation practices; keep work area clean and free of debris.
• Report equipment and pallet jack problems to maintenance.
• Make recommendations for modifications to procedures or processes impacting work group or distribution center that will maximize efficiency, productivity, and reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with ADUSA Distribution standards in the areas of accuracy, safety and productivity.
