Job summary

Virginia MetalFab in Appomattox, Virginia, is seeking a motivated Safety & Maintenance Coordinator to ensure the facility's integrity and compliance with safety standards. You will be responsible for implementing maintenance programs and coordinating training for safety procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, excellent communication skills, and preferably prior experience in the metal or fabrication industry. The role includes oversight of safety protocols, equipment monitoring, and emergency response responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in the metal or fabrication industry is highly beneficial.
• Safety and/or maintenance experience is beneficial.
• Forklift certification; trainer certification is a plus.
• OSHA certification, or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of the integrity of the facility and compliance with safety regulations.
• Implementing and refining maintenance and safety programs.
• Performing preventative maintenance tasks.
• Conducting and coordinating on-site inspections to audit physical conditions.
