Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to support our metal fabrication and manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliable operation, maintenance, and repair of production machinery, welding equipment, and facility systems. The technician performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and continuous improvement activities to maximize equipment uptime, safety, and production efficiency.
Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on fabrication and manufacturing equipment, including:
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems associated with production machinery.
Assist with equipment setup, alignment, calibration, and modification to meet production and quality requirements.
Work closely with production personnel to diagnose equipment issues and minimize downtime.
Maintain and repair industrial welding equipment, including:
Inspect welding power supplies, torches, wire feeders, gas delivery systems, and related components.
Ensure welding equipment operates safely, efficiently, and within manufacturer specifications.
Maintain and repair facility equipment and infrastructure, including:
Perform general building maintenance such as doors, roll-up doors, guards, supports, and safety devices.
Execute scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) programs to extend equipment life and reduce unplanned failures.
Use schematics, manuals, drawings, and diagnostic tools to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, PM logs, and compliance documentation (manual or CMMS “Asset Essentials”).
Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and PPE requirements.
Identify potential safety hazards and report or correct them proactively.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, safety, and efficiency
High school diploma or GED required
Technical certification, apprenticeship, or associate degree in maintenance, electrical, or mechanical fields preferred
2+ years of experience in industrial, manufacturing, or metal fabrication maintenance environments
Strong working knowledge of:
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow maintenance schedules
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced production environment
Effective communication skills for collaboration with production, supervisors, and vendors
Physically able to stand, walk, climb, lift, and perform repetitive tasks as required
Manufacturing and fabrication shop environment
Exposure to noise, dust, heat, electrical systems, and moving machinery
Required use of PPE including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and steel-toe footwear
