Job summary

VetJobs is seeking a Safety & Compliance Lead for our South Windsor, CT facility. You will steward PPE programs, incident investigations, and daily safety awareness across all shifts, ensuring adherence to safety policies and regulatory requirements.

You will collaborate with HQ safety and local HR to drive continuous improvement, perform risk analyses, and coordinate training to protect staff and operations in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
• 6-8 years’ experience in a Safety role.
• 3-5 years’ experience in project management.
• Experience in warehousing/distribution center environment preferred.
• OSHA 10/ OSHA 30 certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be PDC Safety SME and gatekeeper; enforce safety policies.
• Develop and implement safety processes with HQ Safety team.
• Monitor safety and maintenance; ensure proper actions.
• Conduct audits and address deficiencies with HR.
• Oversee job hazard analysis and safety training.
• Lead weekly safety meetings and inspections.
