Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Workplace Health & Safety Specialist (WHSS) to lead safety programs, audits, and training at our Windsor, CT site. You will translate data into actionable safety improvements, mentor associates, and partner with leaders to embed a strong safety culture that protects people and maintains productivity.

You're expected to hold relevant EHS qualifications, apply OSHA standards, and communicate clearly across teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree in EHS-related field or 1 year in an environmental health & safety field; or 6 months in safety-related role at Amazon.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations specifically 29 CFR 1910.
• Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience maintaining confidentiality in workplace matters.

Responsibilities

• Drive safety programs through data-driven strategies and lead audits, investigations, and risk assessments.
• Deliver safety training and promote a proactive safety culture.
• Advocate for associate wellbeing and collaborate with leadership to drive behavioral change and safety improvements.
• Transform safety data into narratives to influence safety initiatives.
