Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year painting experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces to be painted by washing, scraping, patching and sanding as necessary.
• Tape and finish joints of drywall and apply joint compound.
• Move furniture as required to perform work.
• Apply prime and finish coats of paint and stain to surfaces.
• Deliver paint and materials from shop to work site and return them at end of day.
• Protect adjacent areas and equipment with drop cloths or masking tape and paper.
• Paint, stain, shellac or varnish woodwork, walls, ceilings, furniture and other items as required.
• Operate brushes, rollers, or spray guns to apply coatings.
