Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One (1) year of painting experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces to be painted by washing, scraping, patching and sanding as necessary.
• Tape and finish drywall joints and apply joint compound.
• Move furniture and items as required to perform work.
• Apply prime and finish coats of paint and stain to surfaces.
• Deliver paint and materials from shop to work site and return them at day’s end.
• Protect adjacent areas and equipment with drop cloths or masking tape and paper.
• Paint, stain, shellac or varnish woodwork, walls, ceilings, furniture as required.
• Apply paint using brush, roller or spray gun.
• Work from ladders or scaffolds as necessary.
• Maintain necessary records and move materials as needed.
• Report improper operation or faulty equipment to supervisor.
