Job summary

Tufts Medicine is seeking a skilled Paint Technician to prepare and paint walls, ceilings, woodwork, baseboards, windows, furniture and other items across our facilities. You will move supplies, protect areas and apply prime and finish coats, using brush, roller or spray gun.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and one year of painting experience; three years preferred. You will work with ladders or scaffolds and maintain a clean, safe work area while complying with safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year painting experience.
• Three years painting experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepares surfaces to be painted by washing, scraping, patching and sanding.
• Tapes and finishes joints of dry wall and applies joint compound.
• Moves furniture and equipment to perform work.
• Applies prime and finish coats of paint and stain.
• Delivers paint and materials to work site and returns them at day end.
• Protects adjacent areas with drop cloths and masking tape.
• Paints woodwork, walls, ceilings, furniture and other items as required.
• Uses brush, roller or spray gun for applications.
• Works from ladders or scaffolds as necessary.
• Maintains records and reports equipment or material issues.
