McKesson’s brand new temperature controlled automated Distribution Center is currently hiring Facility Maintenance Service Representative(s). This is a chance to work for a company that touches virtually every aspect of healthcare. This position involves ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the distribution center facility by monitoring building systems, conducting routine inspections, and coordinating maintenance activities. This individual will evaluate facility needs, recommend improvements to optimise space utilisation, and support uninterrupted operations through proactive facility management and maintenance practices.
Uxbridge, MA, USA – 40 Lackey Dam. Compensation: The hourly pay range for this position is $30-35/hr (depending upon experience). The afternoon shift also comes with a $1/hr shift differential. Facilities Representatives are eligible to participate in a company incentive plan and can earn up to an additional 5% of their salary (roughly $260-285/pay). Bonus is paid out bi‑weekly.
2 Shifts available: Monday to Friday, 1pm-9:30pm OR Monday to Friday, 8am-4:30pm. Note: OT mandatory if required. Shift may change based on needs of the business.
Ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the distribution centre facility by monitoring building systems, conducting routine inspections, and coordinating maintenance activities. This includes evaluating facility needs, recommending improvements to optimise space utilisation, and supporting uninterrupted operations through proactive facility management and maintenance practices.
The ideal candidate will have experience maintaining and repairing equipment in a distribution centre, manufacturing, or industrial environment, along with strong troubleshooting skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels. Qualifications include: Facility maintenance, maintenance technician, or service technician experience. Experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing a variety of equipment used in a distribution centre environment. Knowledge of and ability to safely operate maintenance‑related tools and equipment, including hand tools, power tools, conveyors, forklifts, pressure gauges, voltmeters and similar equipment. Basic knowledge of warehouse operations and distribution centre environments. Exposure to multiple maintenance and skilled trades, including mechanical, electrical and facility systems. Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with frontline employees, vendors and leadership teams. Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new equipment, technologies and conveyance systems. Working knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and OSHA safety standards.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Includes standing, sitting, walking, general labour, ladder, scissor lift & fork truck use, climbing up to (4) story heights in a warehouse environment.
