Job summary

Clean Harbors, Inc. is seeking an energetic Facility Operations Supervisor in Reidsville, NC to lead a safety-conscious, production-driven team overseeing Shipping and Receiving, inventory integrity, and process improvement.

The role is primarily outdoors with a 1st shift from 7am to 5pm. You will manage inbound/outbound documentation, payroll aspects, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years supervisory experience in Shipping and Receiving.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure employees follow Health and Safety SOPs.
• Prioritize Health and Safety as the top priority in all tasks.
• Oversee plant operations including fuels blending, shredding, e-waste, liquid pour-off, and packing.
• Manage container routing, inventory, and waste tracking.
• Collaborate with GM on hiring, development, and personnel functions.
• Set daily production goals and drive execution across teams.
• Support continuous improvement and compliance with Clean Harbors standards.

Job description

We are seeking an energetic Facility Operations Supervisor to lead our production-driven, safety-conscious team in Reidsville, NC. We are seeking an energetic Facility Operations Supervisor to lead our production-driven, safety-conscious team. This position oversees Shipping and Receiving operations, with a focus on process improvement and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include managing inbound and outbound documentation, payroll, quality improvement initiatives, and resolving off-spec issues.

The role is primarily outdoors and requires strong people-management and problem-solving skills. Key duties include addressing inventory discrepancies, shipment issues, and both physical and system-related inventory variances while supporting continuous improvement efforts.

Shift: 1st 7am-5pm

Up to $111,0000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure all employees follow and maintain all applicable Health and Safety Operating Procedures.
• Ensure that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all work safe practices, policies and processes.
• Oversee multiple site-specific plant operations such as: Fuels Blending, Non-Haz Shredder Operations, E-Waste operations, Liquid Pour-off, Lab packing, Consolidation, Truck offloading/Loading, Proper Warehouse requirements, Inventory/Waste Tracking and Scanning Operations.
• Ensure proper container routing and management.
• Work in conjunction with the General Manager on personnel functions including, but not limited to hiring, termination, development, etc.
• Develop daily production goals for multiple groups and ensure execution.
• Emphasize productivity, health and safety, compliance and customer satisfaction.
• Understand and drive Clean Compliance standards.
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and by the needs of Clean Harbors business.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School or equivalent
• 3+ years supervisory type experience in Shipping and Receiving
• Experience managing larger teams preferred
• Strong leadership skills
• Ability to streamline and improve processes
• Must work well under pressure and pivot as needed
• Excellent communication skills written and verbal
• Strong documentation and organizational skills
• Computer literate
• Proficient MS Office Suite - Word, Excel and Outlook
• Proven problem solver
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Able to review all applicable standard operating procedures (SOP's) annually and score satisfactorily on quizzes.
• Proficiency in Windows based applications.
• Knowledge of scanning applications, EOM scanning SOP's, VPI / Pick sheets
• Proficiency in multiple site-specific plant operations. It is not a desk job on the floor with the guys.
