Job summary

FedEx Supply Chain, Inc. is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee facility operations at smaller locations, typically 75 or fewer employees. You will work with site leaders to drive safety, productivity, cost control and customer service while ensuring compliance and quality.

You will lead exempt staff, manage budgets and P&L, and implement continuous improvement initiatives across space utilization, maintenance, and reporting. Travel quarterly may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field and 5 years of relevant experience.
• In lieu of degree, high school diploma or GED and 7 years of relevant experience.
• Strong analytical and human relation skills.
• Excellent presentation, planning and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to present information to internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Manages exempt direct reports including hiring, coaching and performance management.
• Preparing, maintaining and communicating all operational goals and SOPs.
• On-going management of facility P&L, forecasting and budget preparation.
• Monitoring space utilization and maximizing usage.
• Coaching and developing staff to achieve objectives.
• Overseeing recruitment and reinforcing company culture.
• Ensuring performance metrics are met in a cost-effective manner.
• Preparing reports and records regarding facility operations.
• Developing and directing maintenance and safety programs.
