Job summary

The GEO Group, Inc. is seeking an Associate Deputy Facility Administrator to serve as principal assistant to the Deputy Facility Administrator.

You will oversee administrative, programmatic, security and operational aspects of the facility and supervise subordinate staff as the designee in the Deputy's absence. You will ensure compliance with policies and requirements, manage staffing, prepare reports and supervise security and training programs to support safe and compliant operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• College coursework in criminal justice or related field preferred.
• Minimum five years in corrections or related field with mid-management experience.
• Knowledge of program objectives, policies and procedures for managing a secure facility.
• Experience coordinating and directing activities.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with computers and department software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee administrative, programmatic, security and operational aspects of the facility.
• Supervise staff as designee of the Deputy Facility Administrator.
• Ensure compliance with organizational and contracting agency policies.
• Develop, revise and review policies, post orders and emergency plans.
• Schedule staff to maintain security, order and operations.
• Prepare progress and status reports on a timely basis.
• Oversee security, safety/training and quality control programs.
• Ensure detainee rights and access to courts and religious needs are observed.
• Respond to significant incidents as on-call 24/7.
• Conduct staff performance evaluations.
• Monitor activities toward facility goals and objectives.
