Position Overview
Under general supervision, this position performs non-nuclear facility operational and technical functions within the Mission Services & Integration platform. The primary purpose of this role is to ensure non-nuclear buildings, utility systems, equipment, and administrative spaces operate safely, efficiently, and without disruption. Core responsibilities include managing day-to-day facility maintenance, overseeing third-party vendors, coordinating space utilization, and supporting project operations.
Functional:
- Manages daily operations and maintenance of non-nuclear building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and building automation.
- Coordinates cross-functional mission integration support, ensuring facility readiness, space allocation, and tenant relocations align with site operational goals.
- Plans, schedules, and organizes daily work orders to ensure optimal utilization of maintenance employees, craft personnel, and resources.
- Tracks work order completion, maintenance backlogs, and routine repairs to minimize facility downtime and operational disruptions.
- Oversees third-party vendors and maintenance sub-contractors, verifying work quality, adherence to service level agreements (SLAs), and job specifications.
- Ensures all facility activities comply with OSHA standards, commercial building codes, site quality standards, and environmental safety regulations.
- Actively participates in site Safety Work Groups, hazard evaluations, and Integrated Safety Management System (ISMS) activities.
- Monitors work order cost estimates, line-item budgets, material requisitions, and resource planning to ensure compliance with financial guidelines.
- Develops, reviews, and updates facility operating plans, standard procedures, and building emergency action documents.
- Instructs employees and contractors on work methods, safety protocols, and daily performance expectations.
- Interfaces effectively with internal department heads, facility tenants, senior management, and external auditors.
- Responsible for providing operational direction, task coordination, and general guidance for assigned team members or functional areas.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Facility Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a closely related technical field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12) credential
