Job summary

Parker Hannifin's Parker Lord Saegertown facility in Northwest Pennsylvania seeks a Facilities Manager to lead maintenance, engineering and operations for a 24/7 site. You will report to the Plant Manager and drive safe, reliable facility performance while delivering capital projects and process improvements.

You will supervise engineers, technicians and maintenance staff, manage the work-order system, and oversee spare parts procurement.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years related experience.
  • 6+ years of leadership experience.
  • PSM knowledge including mechanical integrity concepts.
  • Experience with capital project management and maintenance leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe and reliable 24/7 operation of facility equipment and systems.
  • Lead planning and execution of engineering projects and capital budgets.
  • Oversee procurement and stocking strategy for spare parts.
  • Supervise engineers, technicians and maintenance staff; manage staffing strategy.
  • Direct third-party contractors supporting plant operations and infrastructure.

The Facilities Manager will report to the Plant Manager and serve as the lead for anything facilities related. The role is responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable 24/7 operation of facility equipment, participating in the planning and execution of engineering projects, and maintaining the overall facility buildings and grounds.

Responsibilities
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure all facility equipment, systems, processes, and infrastructure are in safe working order.
  • Ensure the timely completion of equipment, systems, and infrastructure maintenance activities through management of the work order system.
  • Oversee the procurement and stocking strategy for all spare parts including critical spare part management.
  • Manage the development and execution of facility repair and maintenance as well as capital budget plans.
  • Manage 3rd party contractors that support plant operations and facility infrastructure.
  • Responsible for the creation and execution of the site process control systems strategy to drive improvements to safety, product quality and process efficiency.
  • Directly supervise and provide technical leadership for Engineers, Technicians and Maintenance Mechanics while being responsible for the overall staffing strategy of the department.
Qualifications
WORK EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED
  • 8+ years related experience
PREFERRED
  • 6+ years of previous leadership experience
  • Prior Maintenance leadership experience, with particular emphasis on OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) including core principles of Mechanical Integrity
  • Prior project/capital project management
EDUCATION
REQUIRED
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a related technical discipline AND 8+ years relevant work experience AND 6+ years of previous leadership experience; Master's degree preferred
PREFERRED
  • Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering AND 8+ years relevant work experience AND 6+ years of previous leadership experience; Master's degree preferred
