Job Responsibilities: The Facilities Manager maintains properties according to manuals and standards, ensuring appearance, safety, compliance, and operations are cost-effective. Responsibilities include:

• Oversee maintenance of building systems and ensure compliance with manuals and safety guidelines.
• Recommend and schedule preventative maintenance.
• Coordinate with engineers, technicians, and vendors on projects.
• Perform safety inspections and contact vendors for repairs within budget.
• Provide operational improvements and report regularly.
• Troubleshoot building systems to ensure service continuity.
• Supervise subcontractors and ensure quality and compliance.
• Handle customer service requests and work orders.
• Assist in budget planning and capital expenditure recommendations.
• Update maintenance manuals and utilize work management systems.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Adhere to service standards and conduct business ethically.
• Participate in meetings, training, and special projects.
• Follow safety policies and procedures.

Education, Experience, and Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in related fields and 5+ years of experience preferred.
• Experience in electrical, plumbing, pool maintenance, drywall, and painting.
• Proficiency in Outlook, MS Office, and Office365; familiarity with Apple systems preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Proficiencies:

• Excellent communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and knowledge of safety laws and regulations.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

• Lift and move 50-100 lbs., work in various conditions, climb ladders, and work flexible hours including emergencies.

Travel: Within the Kansas City area. Must have a valid driver’s license and insurance.
