Job summary

North Carolina State University is seeking a Line Technician II to help maintain the campus electrical power system across multiple facilities in Raleigh. The role focuses on safe, reliable distribution for over 2,000 acres of space, with opportunities to perform preventative maintenance and respond to outages.

Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma or equivalent and electrical experience; a Class A commercial license is required within 60 days of hire.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent with six months electrical experience.
Commercial driver's license required within 60 days of hire.
Experience with underground and overhead electrical power distribution preferred.

Responsibilities

Construct, operate, maintain, and repair university electrical power systems (underground/overhead).
Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems across campuses.
Inspect systems and establish repair priorities.
Troubleshoot electrical issues using meters and diagnostic tools.
Operate equipment such as a line truck and lifts as needed.
Lift up to 90 pounds and work in varied outdoor environments.
