Job summary

The Navy Exchange Service Command is seeking a Maintenance Worker for Mayport Navy Inn on a FLEX schedule. You will maintain buildings, grounds, fixtures, and NHG guest rooms and public spaces, performing painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical repairs and more.

Applicants should have two years of experience in two trades and be able to lift up to 50 pounds, with knowledge of safety rules. Weekend work and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in at least two trades (Carpentry, Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, Painting).
• Knowledge of safety and environmental rules and regulations.
• Ability to perform physically demanding labor including lifting up to 50 pounds and working in various positions.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and housekeeping across buildings, NHG guest rooms, public spaces, and related fixtures.
• Carry out basic plumbing repairs such as sinks, faucets, and valves; assist with electrical work as needed.
• Support carpentry, painting, and HVAC tasks; follow blueprints and manufacturer instructions when available.
• Maintain work order log and report status to supervisor; log trouble calls with contractors as appropriate.
• Work independently on recurring maintenance tasks and comply with safety requirements.
