Qualifications

• High School diploma is required or equivalent.
• Knowledge of laundry/housekeeping/maintenance procedures.
• Minimum of 2 years work experience in long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs regular, scheduled safety inspections and weekly walk-throughs of high-risk areas.
• Follows Life Safety and Preventative Maintenance tasks in TELS for compliance; document as required.
• Prepares a monthly maintenance schedule based on calendar days.
• Maintains center profile and history with complete maintenance records and parts used.
• Keeps logs and documentation on Life Safety compliance, OSHA, and related items.
• Performs routine maintenance and repair work as needed.
• Conducts daily rounds to establish work priority and updates work orders in the system.
• Maintains electrical and mechanical equipment; lubricates and cleans components.
• Cleans/changes filters; maintains safety and cleanliness of equipment areas.
• Inspects for damage and coordinates repairs with appropriate teams.
• Checks lighting, temperatures, and safety systems; adjusts as needed.
• Ensures adequate supplies are stocked to perform daily tasks.
• Prepares resident rooms for new admissions or discharges.
• Other duties and tasks may be assigned as needed.
