Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician in the Santa Clara area to maintain small to medium buildings and industrial systems. The role covers preventive maintenance, routine inspections, and minor repairs to ensure efficient operation of mechanical and electrical systems.

You will review work orders, assist with equipment installations, and help ensure compliance with safety and building codes while following established procedures under supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience.
• In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more as part of physical requirements.
• Strong communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
• Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose problems, and make repairs.
• Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• Review work orders and track completion with available systems.
• Support energy management by ensuring building systems operate efficiently.
• Inspect installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
• Follow defined procedures to solve straightforward problems under supervision.
