Job summary

Texas Department of Transportation’s Odessa District is seeking Maintenance Tech I-III to perform a range of building maintenance and repair tasks. The role supports HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems, and may involve coordinating minor projects, safety compliance, and equipment upkeep.

The position requires hands-on experience with general maintenance, strong troubleshooting abilities, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Experience in general building maintenance and repair.
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems is beneficial.
• Ability to read and follow maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assists in ordering and picking up maintenance supplies.
• Assists with maintaining and repairing floors, walls, ceilings, doors, windows, cabinets and furniture.
• Cleans shop and other maintenance environments.
• Monitors and adjusts temperatures in working areas.
• Performs and monitors building operations and service activities.
• Operates forklift and stores stock.
