Job summary

ATOMS seeks a hands-on Facilities Technician to perform repairs and preventive maintenance across multiple sites in the Greater Bay Area. You will handle drywall, painting, tiling, and basic installations, while performing routine systems maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical components.

You’ll travel between sites, troubleshoot daily issues, and collaborate with internal teams to keep kitchens fully operational, with 60% hands-on work, 25% preventative maintenance, and 15% inspections

Qualifications

• 2+ years of handyman, maintenance, or facilities experience.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, field-based role.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform general repairs across multiple sites, including drywall, patching, painting, tiling and basic masonry.
• Conduct routine maintenance on building systems: HVAC, plumbing, electrical.
• Travel between multiple sites across the Greater Bay Area and support site operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day facility issues and partner with internal teams to keep kitchens operational.

What you’ll do

Facilities Maintenance & Repairs

• Perform general repairs across multiple sites, including:
• Drywall, patching, and painting
• Tiling and basic masonry
• Shelving and equipment installation
• Floor repairs and upkeep
• Exterior maintenance (roofs, gutters, landscaping)

Preventative Maintenance

• Conduct routine maintenance on building systems:
• HVAC
• Plumbing
• Electrical
• Identify issues early and prevent costly breakdowns

Site Operations Support

• Travel between multiple sites (number of sites vary by region) throughout the week across the Greater Bay area
• Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day facility issues
• Partner with internal teams to keep kitchens fully operational

What your week looks like

• 60% hands-on repairs and maintenance
• 25% preventative maintenance
• 15% inspections, troubleshooting, and support

What we’re looking for

Required

• 2+ years of handyman, maintenance, or facilities experience
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, field-based role
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred

• 3+ years of commercial facilities maintenance experience
• Experience in restaurants, hospitality, or multi-site environments
• HVAC/R experience or trade school background
• Field-based role across the Greater Bay Area
• Local travel between sites (home daily)
• On-call rotation and overtime opportunities
