Job summary

CloudKitchens is seeking a field-based Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform general repairs across multiple sites in the Greater Bay Area. You will handle drywall, tiling, shelving, flooring, and exterior upkeep, while also conducting routine HVAC, plumbing, and electrical maintenance.

Travel between sites will be required, with on-call and overtime opportunities. The role emphasizes independent work within a fast-paced environment, offering a clear path to growth into senior technician

Qualifications

• 2+ years of handyman, maintenance, or facilities experience.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, field-based role.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• 3+ years of commercial facilities maintenance experience.
• Experience in restaurants, hospitality, or multi-site environments.
• HVAC/R experience or trade school background.

Responsibilities

• Perform general repairs across multiple sites, including drywall, patching, painting, tiling, basic masonry, shelving and equipment installation, floor upkeep, and exterior maintenance.
• Conduct routine maintenance on building systems: HVAC, plumbing, electrical.
• Travel between multiple sites across the Greater Bay Area and support site operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day facility issues and coordinate with internal teams.

What you’ll do

Facilities Maintenance & Repairs

• Perform general repairs across multiple sites, including:
• Drywall, patching, and painting
• Tiling and basic masonry
• Shelving and equipment installation
• Floor repairs and upkeep
• Exterior maintenance (roofs, gutters, landscaping)

Preventative Maintenance

• Conduct routine maintenance on building systems:
• HVAC
• Plumbing
• Electrical
• Identify issues early and prevent costly breakdowns

Site Operations Support

• Travel between multiple sites (number of sites vary by region) throughout the week across the Greater Bay area
• Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day facility issues
• Partner with internal teams to keep kitchens fully operational

What your week looks like

• 60% hands-on repairs and maintenance
• 25% preventative maintenance
• 15% inspections, troubleshooting, and support

What we’re looking for

Required

• 2+ years of handyman, maintenance, or facilities experience
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, field-based role
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred

• 3+ years of commercial facilities maintenance experience
• Experience in restaurants, hospitality, or multi-site environments
• HVAC/R experience or trade school background

Work Environment & Schedule

• Field-based role across the Greater Bay Area
• Local travel between sites (home daily)
• Monday-Friday schedule
• On-call rotation and overtime opportunities
