Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician to maintain and improve building facilities and utility systems in a chiller manufacturing environment. The role covers electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and energy systems, ensuring safe, efficient operations.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of facility maintenance experience, understands BMS/CMMS tools, and can read schematics. The position requires manual capability and adherence to safety standards, with occasional after-hours support.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent vocational training in facility maintenance or related field.
3–5 years of facility maintenance experience in manufacturing or HVAC/refrigeration environments.
Knowledge of electrical systems and HVAC/refrigeration, and ability to read schematics.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on building infrastructure and assets.
Maintain and troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, lighting, compressed air, and water systems; support HVAC and cooling systems.
Monitor utilities and supervise generators, air compressors, pumps, cooling towers, and related equipment; assist with installations and commissioning.
Respond to breakdowns and coordinate inspections and maintenance schedules to reduce downtime.
Follow OSHA, environmental, safety, and Lockout/Tagout requirements; conduct safety inspections.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and inspection reports.
Coordinate contractors and service providers, monitor work quality and compliance, and assist with quotations and contracts.
Monitor energy consumption and recommend improvements; support Lean initiatives.
