Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician in Junction City, OR, to uphold safe, efficient operations within a chiller manufacturing and service environment. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and improve building facilities, utilities, and supporting equipment, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and compressed air systems.

The role requires 3–5 years of experience in facility maintenance, proficiency with reading schematics, and hands-on expertise with tools.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent with technical/vocational training in facility maintenance.
  • 3–5 years of facility maintenance experience in manufacturing or HVAC-related environments.
  • Experience with electrical systems, HVAC, refrigeration, and chilled water systems.
  • Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and manuals; proficient with hand and power tools.

Responsabilités

  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on building infrastructure and equipment.
  • Maintain electrical, plumbing, lighting, compressed air, and cooling systems.
  • Monitor utilities: generators, air compressors, pumps, cooling towers; assist with commissioning.
  • Respond to breakdowns promptly; coordinate inspections and maintenance schedules.
  • Follow safety regulations and conduct inspections; maintain accurate records.
  • Coordinate contractors and service providers; assist with quotes and contracts.
  • Monitor energy use and propose improvements; support Lean and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain maintenance records and work orders.

Job Overview

The Facility Maintenance Technician maintains, troubleshoots, repairs, and improves building facilities, utilities, and supporting equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operations in a chiller manufacturing and service environment. This role supports facility infrastructure, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, compressed air, and other plant utility systems.

Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance; inspect and repair building infrastructure, including walls, floors, roofs, doors, windows, and general facility assets.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, lighting, compressed air, and water systems; support HVAC, ventilation, and industrial cooling systems.
  • Monitor utilities and maintain generators, air compressors, pumps, cooling towers, and related equipment; assist with equipment installation, relocation, and commissioning.
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergency repair requests; coordinate inspections and maintenance schedules to reduce downtime.
  • Follow OSHA, environmental, company safety, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements; conduct safety inspections and support emergency preparedness programs.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and inspection reports.
  • Coordinate contractors and service providers, monitor work quality and compliance, and assist with quotations and maintenance service contracts.
  • Monitor energy consumption and recommend energy-saving improvements, equipment upgrades, and reliability enhancements; support facility projects, cost reduction, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • High school diploma, technical diploma, associate degree, or equivalent vocational training in facility maintenance, electrical technology, mechanical technology, HVAC/refrigeration, or industrial maintenance.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of facility maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, HVAC, refrigeration, or chiller-related environment, including building systems, utilities, and industrial equipment.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and understanding of HVAC, refrigeration, and chilled water systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment; experience with pumps, motors, compressors, cooling towers, and generators.
  • Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and manuals; proficiency with hand and power tools.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
