Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a skilled Industrial Chiller Service Technician to install, commission, maintain, diagnose, and repair industrial glycol and refrigeration chillers at customer sites. The role combines refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, and controls knowledge with strong communication and the ability to work independently in the field.

The ideal candidate will travel to facilities, review detailed diagrams, perform systematic troubleshooting, and provide clear service documentation

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with experience troubleshooting equipment or systems.
• Working knowledge of tools including multimeters, gauges, vacuum pumps, refrigerant scales, and leak detectors.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and piping diagrams.
• Ability to travel and work flexible hours, including after-hours.
• Strong communication and independent work skills.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer facilities to install, start up, commission, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial chillers and refrigeration equipment.
• Review service requests, equipment history, diagrams, and specifications before and during service work.
• Perform systematic troubleshooting of refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and controls issues.
• Diagnose problems with compressors, pumps, heat exchangers, valves, sensors, and safety controls.
• Document service reports, warranty repairs, and customer signoffs promptly.
