Job summary

Walmart in Austin, TX is seeking a proactive maintenance technician to perform preventive maintenance on facilities, equipment, and fixtures, following schedules to ensure safety, functionality and aesthetics.

You will inspect, repair, and document wear, manage work orders, coordinate with contractors, orders parts, ensure OSHA/EPA compliance, and support Walmart's standards and ethics while working with teams.

Qualifications

• Vocational or technical certification and 2 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine preventive maintenance to ensure safety, proper functionality, and aesthetics of facilities, equipment, or fixtures by following established preventive maintenance schedules and guidelines.
• Inspects, cleans, and repairs facilities, equipment, or fixtures.
• Gathers capital expense information and recommends repair needs to eliminate ongoing and future repairs.
