Job summary

U-Haul International, Inc. is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician to inspect, maintain and repair buildings at various sites in Alsip, IL. The role involves preventive maintenance and using a range of hand and power tools while ensuring safety.

The position offers pay hourly, comprehensive benefits, tuition reimbursement, and opportunities for advancement. Must have a valid driver's license; D.O.T certification sponsored.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical, A/C, HVAC, plumbing or landscaping.
• Valid driver’s license.
• D.O.T certification (can be sponsored by U-Haul).
• Must be 18 or older.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain and build new buildings.
• Perform general maintenance, installation, repair and service.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and semiannual roof inspections at various sites.
• Effectively work with a variety of hand/power tools.
• Pool knowledge with other Facility Maintenance Technicians to accomplish complex projects.
• Complete work requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Keep track of company truck and gas card.
• Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
