Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician for a seasonal role in California. This position emphasizes teamwork with other technicians to execute complex projects and to share and learn skills on the job.

Applicants can start today and get paid today, with two hands-on interviews and a $100 hiring bonus plus a $300 cash bonus after completing the Equipment Inspection and Verification program at retail stores.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical, A/C, HVAC, plumbing or landscaping.
• Valid driver’s license.
• D.O.T certification (can be sponsored by U-Haul).
• Must be 18 or older.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain and build new buildings.
• Perform general maintenance, installation, repair and service.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and semiannual roof inspections at various sites.
• Effectively work with a variety of hand/power tools.
• Pool knowledge with other Facility Maintenance Technicians to accomplish complex projects.
• Complete work requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Keep track of company truck and gas card.
• Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
