Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Advanced degrees preferred.
• Minimum one year experience in building maintenance required.
• Technical certificate preferred.
• Must possess a valid in-State Drivers License and meet Company insurability requirements.
• Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching.
• Demonstrates the ability to lift 40 pounds and / or the ability to assess the lift load in order to ask for necessary assistance.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair and preventive maintenance to facility and building systems.
• May supervise Work-Based Learning assigned to the department.
• May oversee training activities of students assigned to the maintenance area.
• Oversee outside contractors performing repairs and/or replacement of equipment.
• Conduct periodic inspections of building systems and equipment to ensure quality.
• Coordinate activities with the Facilities Maintenance vocational training program, if applicable.
• Complete work orders in a timely manner.
• Provide student transport as necessary.
• Maintain attendance, productivity and safety standards.
• Plan, prioritize and organize assignments to meet goals and deadlines.
