The ideal candidate is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs on building systems and production equipment. This role ensures the facility remains safe, functional, and well-maintained by completing preventive maintenance, responding to maintenance requests, and resolving equipment or facility issues in a timely manner. This is a hands-on role that requires technical expertise and a strong attention to detail.Location: Semmes, ALFull-time; Non-exempt; Day shiftReports to: Maintenance SupervisorEssential Functions of the RoleDuties and ResponsibilitiesMaintain and execute a preventive maintenance schedule for both company locations to ensure facilities and equipment remain in safe, efficient operating condition.Attending to and reporting any facilities related issues as they arise.Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on building systems, equipment, and facilities.Respond promptly to maintenance requests and facility-related concerns, ensuring timely resolution.Perform general building maintenance, including minor repairs involving plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, doors, fixtures, and other facility components.Perform or assist with basic repairs and maintenance related to plumbing, electrical systems, mechanical equipment, conveyor systems, and HVAC equipment.Conduct routine facility inspections to identify safety hazards, maintenance needs, and code compliance issues, recommending and implementing corrective actions as appropriate.Perform regular security inspections of buildings and grounds, reporting any safety, security, or maintenance concerns.Support special projects, facility improvements, equipment installations, and office or warehouse moves as assigned.Perform other duties as assigned.Core CompetenciesSkills, Talents, Personal Attributes and ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED required.Highly motivated with a strong work ethic and a dependable attendance record.Demonstrates initiative, accountability, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Strong physical stamina and mental focus to perform the essential functions of the position.Experience with mechanical and gravity conveyor systems is preferred.Knowledge of general building maintenance, including basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and painting repairs.Ability to troubleshoot equipment and facility issues and perform minor repairs in a safe and efficient manner.Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.Ability to prioritize tasks and respond effectively to maintenance requests.Team-oriented with the ability to work collaboratively and respectfully with employees at all levels while valuing diversity and inclusion.Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following all company safety policies and procedures.Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.Benefits:Compensation based on experience & level of expertise.Full Benefits Package Including: Health, Dental, Vision, Basic Life Insurance, Various Voluntary Life Policies, Accident Insurance, Critical Illness, Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, EAP Services, 401K with company match, as well as PTO and various company paid holidays.Physical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
