DIRECT HIRE Facility Maintenance Technician

Performs detailed repairs and maintenance work necessary for the upkeep of buildings and structures. Safely operates equipment, practices safe work habits, and contributes to a safe working environment for self and others. Works independently.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm, On Call Rotation

Key Responsibilities:

• Performs tasks involving HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, plastering, electrical, painting, glazing, or mechanical work for repairs and maintenance.
• Maintains a professional and supportive atmosphere for residents and staff, following organizational policies and procedures.
• Replaces floors, hangs doors, repairs windows, masonry, roofing, pipes, and performs painting and glazing tasks.
• Replaces fuses, tests circuits, repairs appliances, inspects mechanical equipment, and performs minor repairs to boilers and fixtures.
• Operates power tools and equipment, maintains heating systems, and replaces firefighting equipment and piping as needed.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience in building maintenance trades. Certification or verifiable experience in specific trades is desirable but not required.
• Minimum 1 year experience operating small gas-powered lawn, garden, and snow removal equipment.
• Basic knowledge of elevator controls, fire panels, and security systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders to inspect building conditions.
• Driver’s License required.
