Job Description

We’re looking for a dependable Facility Maintenance Technician to maintain, repair, and troubleshoot building systems, equipment, and facility infrastructure. This role focuses on preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and general facility operations to support a safe, functional, and well‑maintained workplace rather than routine janitorial or cleaning duties.

What You’ll Bring
  • Hands‑on problem‑solving skills to troubleshoot maintenance issues, identify practical solutions, complete repairs accurately, and recognize when specialized support is needed.
  • Dependability and organization to work independently, prioritize competing maintenance requests, manage assigned work, and respond promptly to changing facility needs.
  • Safety awareness when using hand tools, power tools, maintenance equipment, ladders, and working around active building systems and facility infrastructure.
  • Clear communication skills to report concerns, document completed work, coordinate with outside contractors, and keep others informed of maintenance status and needs.
What You’ll Do
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems and equipment to support safe, reliable, and efficient facility operations.
  • Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and other building‑related issues within authorized limits and position scope.
  • Inspect facility equipment and building systems routinely to identify wear, damage, or maintenance needs before failures or disruptions occur.
  • Complete minor repairs to doors, locks, walls, ceilings, flooring, fixtures, and other building components as maintenance needs arise.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and assigned work orders in a timely manner while prioritizing safety, operational impact, and urgency.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and basic maintenance equipment safely, correctly, and in accordance with appropriate operating practices.
  • Coordinate with outside contractors and service providers when repairs or projects require specialized expertise, equipment, or technical support.
  • Conduct routine inspections of facility systems and promptly report safety hazards, equipment concerns, code issues, or developing maintenance needs.
  • Assist with facility projects, equipment installations, workspace moves, and general building improvements while helping minimize operational disruption.
  • Follow OSHA requirements, company safety policies, and applicable building codes and regulations while completing maintenance activities and repairs.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels of maintenance supplies, tools, replacement parts, and commonly used materials needed for ongoing facility support.
  • Review assigned maintenance needs and open work orders to help organize daily priorities and ensure required repairs receive timely attention.
  • Verify completed repairs and monitor recurring maintenance issues to confirm building systems and equipment remain safe, functional, and dependable.
  • Communicate maintenance needs, repair status, contractor activity, and unresolved concerns clearly to support effective coordination and timely follow‑through.
  • Support equipment installation and facility improvement work by preparing work areas, assisting with maintenance‑related tasks, and protecting surrounding building components.
  • Help protect facility assets through preventive maintenance, early identification of potential failures, and appropriate escalation of issues requiring specialized service.
  • Keep maintenance tools, supplies, replacement parts, and work areas organized so needed resources are available for scheduled and corrective repairs.
What You’ll Need
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred, with previous experience in facility maintenance, building maintenance, mechanical maintenance, or a related field.
  • Basic working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical systems, with the ability to troubleshoot common problems and perform hands‑on repairs.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment while following OSHA requirements, company safety policies, building codes, and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize maintenance requests, communicate effectively, solve problems, coordinate repair activity, and maintain accurate records of completed work.
  • Ability to perform the physical demands of facility maintenance work, including lifting and carrying materials or equipment, climbing ladders, and completing hands‑on physical maintenance tasks as required. Pay range: $21.20–$35.14.
