What’s The Job?

Title: Facility Maintenance Technician

Location: Eddyville, Iowa

Salary: Up to $21.50/hr (DOE)

Hours: Monday - Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm

What Will I Be Doing?

Here are some daily responsibilities:

• Work in a team-oriented and safety-conscious environment, following all safety guidelines and procedures.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on building structures, systems, and mechanical equipment using appropriate tools and manuals.
• Handle general maintenance tasks including minor carpentry, furniture repairs, plumbing, etc.
• Clear stoppages in drainage systems using appropriate tools.
• Replace defective bulbs in buildings and exterior areas.
• Operate equipment such as skid steer loaders, vacuum trucks, scissors lifts, forklifts, and hand/power tools.
• Perform welding and use rigging equipment as needed.
• Work from elevated areas with fall protection as necessary.
• Flexibility to work all shifts, including holidays and weekends.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
• Ensure compliance with all regulations and policies.
• Meet performance expectations and participate in employee development.
• Maintain personal tools and perform administrative duties accurately and timely.
• Maintain positive relations with customers and colleagues.

What Makes Me Qualified?

Physical Demands

Must be able to observe details, control machinery, manipulate objects, lift up to 50 pounds, move continuously, ascend/descend ladders, operate tools and vehicles safely, and wear respirators as needed.

Work Environment

Frequent exposure to moving parts, heights, airborne particles, chemicals, electrical hazards, extreme temperatures, and loud noise. Reasonable accommodations available for disabilities.
