National Health Care Associates' Pine Heights at Brattleboro is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to keep our facility safe and well‑functioning for residents. You will perform routine repairs and coordinate with nursing, housekeeping, and administration to support daily operations.

This role offers weekly pay, a Monday–Friday schedule with rotating on‑call weekends, and opportunities for training, mentorship, and professional growth in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in maintenance or related field preferred
• Experience in building maintenance, facilities management, or related field, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting
• Knowledge of basic maintenance principles, techniques, and tools, with proficiency in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work independently with minimal supervision
• Commitment to upholding safety standards, regulatory compliance, and ethical conduct in maintenance operations

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs, to ensure proper functioning of equipment and systems
• Help maintain exterior grounds, landscaping, lawn care, snow removal, and outdoor maintenance to create a safe and aesthetically pleasing environment
• Perform regular inspections and maintenance on facility equipment, such as elevators, generators, and fire safety systems, to ensure compliance and safety
• Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment, monitoring usage and replenishing stock as needed
• Collaborate with nursing, housekeeping, and administration to address maintenance-related issues and support operations
