Job summary

Walmart in Pensacola, FL is seeking a facilities maintenance professional to perform routine preventive maintenance, inspect and repair equipment, and document activities. You will manage work orders, coordinate with contractors, and order parts to keep facilities safe and functional.

The role requires operating heavy machinery, adhering to OSHA/EPA rules, and ensuring workmanship meets Walmart standards while supporting cost-effective, compliant maintenance across locations.

Qualifications

• Vocational or technical certification with 2 years’ plumbing/electrical or related experience.
• Or 4 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, or related area.
• Valid state driver’s license and ability to pass motor vehicle report.
• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
• Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
• No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
• No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
• Preferred: 2-year Vocational/Technical trade program.
• Preferred: experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Preferred: license in city/state where job is located.
• Preferred: experience with hand tools and testing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine preventive maintenance to ensure safety, proper functionality, and aesthetics of facilities, equipment, or fixtures.
• Inspects, cleans, and repairs facilities, equipment, or fixtures; documents wear and tear.
• Gathers capital expense information and recommends repair needs; determines replacement needs.
• Manages work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractors; tracks parts and invoices.
• Ensures compliance with OSHA/EPA regulations and Walmart safety standards.
