Freedom Behavioral Hospital of Bastrop is seeking a motivated Plant Operations Manager to oversee hospital safety, environment of care, and life safety. The role includes leading maintenance, housekeeping, and transportation operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in the building trades is preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, long-term care facility, or other healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of The Joint Commission standards, Environment of Care requirements, and Life Safety and Regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance, housekeeping, and transportation departments for each designated Hospital.
• Manage campus maintenance and environmental services operations across the campus.
• Ensure the safety of patients, visitors, and employees from facilities perspective, processes and procedures.
• Participate on the hospital Safety/Environment of Care Committee and Hazardous Materials and Waste Subcommittee.

Position Summary

The Plant Operations Manager is responsible for all the overall safety of the hospital and for all hospital operations related to Environment of Care and Life Safety. The POM serves on the hospital Safety/Environment of Care Committee and Hazardous Materials and Waste Subcommittee. A POM considers the safety of our patients, visitors, and employees from the perspective of our physical surroundings, work processes and operational procedures. This position is responsible for oversight of the maintenance, housekeeping, and transportation departments for each designated Hospital. He / She oversee the entire campus maintenance and environmental services operations of our campus that is dedicated to excellence in all aspects of patient, employee, and family safety. The Plant Safety Manager is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the physical plant including, building, grounds, and all Maintenance needs. This position is also responsible for all the overall safety of the hospital and for all hospital operations related to Environment of Care and Life Safety.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills And/or Experience
